Figurative language

Figurative language is trying to understand the meaning from a person.


A simile is a Comparison of two things using “like” or “as.”
A metaphor is comparing two things and without using “like” or “as”.
A hyperbole is Exaggerating to show strong feeling or effect.

A personification is Giving human traits to objects or ideas.

A understatement is expression with less strength than expected.
